As part of the Future Leaders 2019, Ms Wallington will take part in a professional and personal development program, designed to prepare her for the challenges facing the sector.
Coordinated by Wine Australia and supported by Australian Grape and Wine, Ms Wallington will join a growing alumnus of individuals chosen to help be the catalyst for change.
Wine Australia CEO Andreas Clark said this year's participants were indicative of the excellence that exists within the sector.
"The Future Leaders program will bring together these 15 emerging leaders and guide them through opportunities to develop their leadership skills and to work collaboratively towards solutions for our sector's long-term prosperity," he said.
Over six months Ms Wallington will explore leadership skills, hear from world class speakers and receive input on topics such as innovation, thought leadership, culture and sector impact.
Previous Future Leaders alumni, which includes Martin Gransden from Cumulus Wines and Ed Swift from Printhie Wines, will act as mentors throughout the program; to provide support and help build greater networks.
This is the second by win for Ms Wallington who was awarded a 2019 Sydney Royal Wine Assessment Scholarship in January.
The scholarship, is a fully funded position to attend the prestigious Australian Wine Research Institute's Advance Wine Assessment course.
