Greg Reid has seen Bathurst Bulldogs enjoy plenty of success in more than two decades of involvement with the club, but never before has he witnessed the sort of start to a season his playing group's delivered in 2019.

After four rounds of the Blowes Clothing and Westfund Ferguson Cups, all of Bulldogs' sides remain undefeated.
The club's first grade, second grade, colts and women's teams have triumphed in all four of their appearances so far and top their respective ladders as a result, while Bulldogs' third graders began their campaign with a 28-7 win over reigning premiers Orange Emus on Saturday.
"You couldn't script a better starts to a season," Reid, Bulldogs; president, said.
"I can't recall it happening for us - ever."
Strength across the grades is something Bulldogs have long prided themselves on as a number of club championship crowns will attest too.
But Reid said it has taken plenty of hard work and encouragement from both coaching staff and players to be undefeated across the grades so far this season.
"The culture is something we really work hard at, we want to have a high performance culture, but also we want to have a lot of fun too. We want to try and embed that culture within our club," he said.
"It is a very supportive environment, we encourage that camaraderie. You've got to work hard but you've also got to celebrate your successes.
"I've very proud of the application everyone has put in to training. It's great to see the players encouraging one another to get to training rather than it be left to the coaches to drag them there."
Reid knows premiership are not won in May and that "there's a long way to go yet", but said Bulldogs will continue to aim high.
"You've got to set the benchmark high, you've got to try and achieve, winning grand finals is what you want to do," he said.
