She has played plenty of tennis during this time and has gained plenty of knowledge about the game too.
Just last week the Averett Cougars team notched their fourth consecutive victory in a 5-4 win over Meredith College at the Averett courts.
The win for Averett (5-1, 1-0, USA south) marked their first conference win of the season. Eleanor was part of the group that lodged the team's only win, an 8-0 victory, in first grade doubles.
She contributed to the team's win by grabbing a 7-5, 6-2 win in the Singles, to tie the match at four sets apiece. From there the rest of the team went on to score wins and therefore were the eventual victors.
Last Sunday the Junior Development Series (JDS) Tournament was held at Blayney and quite a few of our juniors made the short trip over to play in the event.
Phoebe Johnston had a great day out by taking home the under-10 Girls' Singles trophy, narrowly winning by one game in a tightly contested event.
Kaydn McLachlan, Gus McDonald and Jack Gersbach all played well in the under 10s, finishing in fourth, fifth and sixth place respectfully. In the under-12 girls Stephanie Gersbach came equal third and Ruby Holmes just missed out but played consistently.

The Turn Up Junior Competition on Tuesday is going along very well. This week the winners ended on a tie, with Ruby Holmes and Steph Gersbach both on 24 games.
This competition will resume after the holidays at a new time of 4-5.30pm, to tie in with the winter months.
The Autumn Competition winners from Wednesday night were Janet Davenport three sets/23 games and Jo Kingham two/16.
The men's winners Col Parsons four/23, Daniel Kozul three/19 and Anthony Miklich two/17.
The Ladies Social was played on Thursday at 9am under lovely Autumn conditions and the Mixed Social this Sunday will be going ahead at 1.30pm under the supervision of Janet Davenport. Janet was also lucky to win the free hit voucher last week.
