FOOD Week president James Sweetapple said it was a great night and it was a great event for people from across Orange and Cabonne to attend the event in Robertson Park.
"We conducted surveys, 35 per cent of people were from out of town and 65 per cent were local," Mr Sweetapple said.
"This event is really good for the locals, it gives them a bit of an example of the local cooks and caterers so when their friends come it gives them the [knowledge of where to go].
"We've had night markets for so long and we've got a big core of people who have come before."
He said patrons also supported the waste management with its focus on recycling and use of biodegradable plates and utensils.
"We've been doing it for three years and this year they got on board," he said.
