Zampa claimed a career-best 4-43 in Australia's 80-run third ODI victory over Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, the best figures by an Australian leggie since Stuart MacGill took 4-19 against Pakistan in Sydney in 2000.
Zampa's efforts helped Australia take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
After being in and out of the ODI team since his debut in 2016, Zampa is making the most of an extended run in the line-up.
The 26-year-old played all five matches during the recent series in India and has been ever-present against Pakistan in the UAE, taking 16 wickets at 26.75 across the eight matches to date.
Zampa's efforts haven't gone unnoticed by his teammates, with allrounder Glenn Maxwell acknowledging the spinner's importance.
"He's a great guy to have in your side, he's just a wicket-taker for us and he's ended up with four tonight, done a great job coming on at different times," Maxwell said.
"That's the great thing about Adam, he's so adaptable. He can bowl in the powerplay for you, he can bowl at the end and he's a go-to guy for us if we need a wicket.
"He's going to be crucial going forward."
