Elders will move its operations from Peisley Street to Molong.
The shift will not lead to job losses.
It is understood Elders will continue to service its Orange clients from its new base in Molong.
LOCATION OF ELDERS IN ORANGE
Elders does not own the Orange site, instead it was leasing the property from a Sydney-based investment company which has decided to sell the site without a tenant after Elders did not renew its lease.
The 3500 square metre site has 1500 square metres of buildings and has two street frontages on Peisley and McNamara streets. It will be sold as vacant possession.
Blowes Real Estate principal Gary Blowes said the site would be sought after, most likely for re-development.
Mr Blowes said it was larger than the nearby land on Kite Street currently being developed into the Quest Apartments complex.
He said the Elders' land was a similar size to the Lands Office in Kite Street which sold three weeks ago for $2.5 million.
Mr Blowes said there had already been an offer for the Elders site but it had been rejected.
"We see it more as a development site rather than for an owner occupier," he said.
Mr Blowes said the site had the potential to provide valuable on-site parking.
"They could put parking underneath which would [reduce] a lot of expense. Most people want parking on site these days," he said.
The property will be auctioned on site at 11am on May 10. It is on two titles but will be sold together.
Elders was contacted for comment about its move.
