THE count from Saturday's state election continued on Monday, with Shooters, Fishers and Farmers candidate Phil Donato firmly in the lead in Orange.

Mr Donato led 65.6 per cent to The Nationals' Kate Hazelton's 34.4 per cent on a two-party preferred basis.
Absentee have not yet been counted, while counting continued on postal votes and iVotes.
The primary vote on Monday afternoon was as follows, with 46,451 votes counted:
- Phil Donato, SFF, 23,187 (49.92 per cent)
- Kate Hazelton, Nationals, 12,053 (25.95)
- Luke Sanger, Country Labor, 4576 (9.85)
- Stephen Nugent, Greens, 2338 (5.03)
- Maurice Davey, Christian Democrats, 1486 (3.20)
- Stephen Bisgrove, Liberal Democrats, 873 (1.88)
- Terri Baxter, Independent, 821 (1.77)
- Garry McMahon, Conservatives, 774 (1.67)
- David O'Brien, Keep Sydney Open Party, 343 (0.74)
Meanwhile in Dubbo, The Nationals' Dugald Saunders was leading independent Mathew Dickerson by 225 votes.
