It was the mare's second win in a row after taking a first place at Gilgandra on February 9 in the sixth race for Sharp's stable.
Say Madam held strong on the inside at the end of the 1375m feature while Dictation managed to freewheel from third-last with a furlong to go to race past the field to second, only a nose between it and a win for trainer Kathryn Cahill and jockey Matthew Cahill.
Say Madam, ridden by Ken Dunbar was priced at $19, while Dictation was the $3.60 favourite. Boston Ivy ($4.40) finished in third.
