Less than 48 hours after being the difference in the Orange District Cricket Association's Royal Hotel Cup semi-final, Nic Broes was the dominant force in the Mitchell Cricket Council's Colts final round.
Broes walloped 121 as Orange's bowling attack had no answers for him, and then couldn't back up with the bat to go down as Bathurst claimed a 13-run win.
Both sides went into the game undefeated, but Orange had only played one of their games with their first hit-out against the Blue Mountains forfeited by the opposition.
Orange showed a lack of depth with the bat, losing their final six wickets for just 29 runs, with their only other game yielding just 122 runs.
He was the last man out in the final over, coming in with the side at 2-31 and guiding it to 8-263 in the allotment of 50 overs.
He had support from Ben Mitchell (38), Jack Goodsell (28 not out) and Connor Slattery (27) with his 91-run stand with the latter the highest of the match.
The knock takes Broes' average at a representative level in the Central West to nearly 39, while he's also picked up a phenomenal 25 wickets from 11 games across all of Bathurst's outings in all competitions in 2018-19.
Only one batter coming in lower than five reached double figures
Angus Cumming was the pick of the Orange bowlers, taking 3-34 from his allotment of 10 overs, with Ed Taylor taking 2-56 from eight.
Orange was in a commanding position at 3-204, but none of Max Powell (56), Bailey Ferguson (49) or Lachie Coyte (43) were able to post a big score as Bathurst's bowling attack, led by Goodsell (3-25) and the danger man Broes (3-42) stifled Orange's scoring opportunities.
That pair sparked the collapse as once Coyte departed the rest of Orange's long tail followed suit, with only one batter coming in lower than five reaching double figures.
Mitchell (1-32 from seven overs) and Slattery (2-43 from 10) did the hard work at the top of the innings for Bathurst.
The two sides will face off again next week in the final in Bathurst.
