The Orange Running Festival got off to a flying start on Saturday with the 2 kilometre Junior Dash event.

More than 200 young and fit children alongside a few older slightly-less fit parents took part in the race.
Ethan Donges was the fastest runner overall with a time of 7 minutes and 57 seconds.
He came in just ahead of Hadden Bennett in second place and Samuel Hill in third place.
Abigail Francis was the fastest female with a time of 8 minutes and 36 seconds.
She came in just seconds ahead of Jocelyn Blair in second place and Hanna Gross in third place.

Flynn Thornton took part for the fourth year, this time alongside his siblings Tilly and Sam Thornton.
The Orange Runners Club member said he was happy with his place, which was fourth in his aged group and twelth overall.
"I did a lot of training last year and came first and third in the running club Spring racing carnival," he said.
The Junior Dash is the first event of the festival, with 5km, 10km, half marathon and full marathons taking place at the Leisure Centre, Bloomfield Campus on Forest Road on Sunday.
