Nikki Maree Smith, 32, of Dalton Street, got into a taxi at the Lord's Place taxi rank at 12.30am on August 4.
According to police she told the driver she wanted to go to Currong Crescent and when he asked her to show him she could pay the fare she showed him a $20 note.
However, when he stopped at the address she said she wouldn't pay the $17 fare and got out of the taxi.
Police were patrolling the area so the taxi driver flagged them down and a resident allowed the officers into the house Smith entered where they found her in a bedroom.

Police said she was pretending to sleep but when she was formally cautioned she said "f***-off you dog c***s, I've done nothing wrong".
When police went to arrest Smith she pulled away and was verbally abusive then struggled but was placed in the back of the police vehicle.
Once in the vehicle she spat at police despite the door being closed and when she arrived at the police station she spat on at another police officer striking him in the face and as a result he had to undergo medical tests to rule out the contraction of infectious diseases.
Smith was given a 10-month jail sentence with a five-month non-parole period with a release date of July 26 for assaulting police.
Smith was also given an 18-month community correction order for resisting police and she was convicted for failing to pay the taxi fare and was ordered to pay $17 to Orange Taxi Service.
Smith entered a severity appeal and Magistrate David Day granted her bail until the appeal is heard in Orange District Court saying she had a "reasonable prospects" of success.
