Among those who have told the council’s event organisers they’ll be ready to take questions from local residents will be incumbent member for Orange Phil Donato, Nationals candidate Kate Hazelton, Country Labor's Luke Sanger, Stephen Nugent from the Greens, Garry MacMahon from the Australian Conservative party and Independent candidate Terri Ann Baxter.
We’re hoping many residents will turn out to this event, and over a pizza, become better informed about how they’ll cast their ballot.
- Orange City Council Corporate and Community Relations Manager Nick Redmond.
The forum kicks off from 6pm upstairs in council chambers' Byng Street meeting room.
“There won’t be too many opportunities between now and March 23 to hear from the candidates directly,” Council Corporate and Community Relations Manager Nick Redmond said.
“We’re hoping many residents will turn out to this event, and over a pizza, become better informed about how they’ll cast their ballot.”
Mr Redmond added there would be a chance for those to can't make the forum to watch on remotely.
“It’s also a great opportunity to use the new live stream system," he said.
"For special events like this we’ll have multi-camera coverage, so if people can’t make they can tune in via the council’s YouTube livestream page.”
