A YEAR on from the blaze at Mount Canobolas, the Environmentally Concerned Citizens of Orange will hold a public meeting on the recovery this Wednesday.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service ranger Steve Woodhall will be the guest speaker.
He will talk about the damage done to the area and the recovery of flora and fauna, including the regeneration of rare orchids, and the repair of walking tracks and other infrastructure destroyed during the fire.
Mr Woodhall will also talk about ongoing monitoring and help from volunteers and conservation groups.
There will be time for questions and discussion on future management issues facing the mountain.
The meeting will start at 7.30pm at Orange Showground's Environmental Learning Facility, all welcome.
