After going through the opening month and racking up big wins - 48-12 over Panorama, 76-6 against Castlereagh, 48-18 versus Mudgee and 50-6 last weekend against Woodbridge Cup - the undefeated Vipers girls take on the Goannas at Wellington on Saturday in a top-of-the-table clash.
Power says the key to his side's blazing start to the year has been experience, with a host of this year's squad part of the Group 10 under 18s side that won the inaugural juniors premiership in 2018.
The likes of Kiara Sullivan and Tuinakauvadra sisters, Tabua and Milika, have been dynamic while Libby Smith's speed through the middle of the field has been lethal for the Vipers attack.
He expects Saturday's clash with the Goannas to be tougher, but knows his Vipers outfit has the skills to continue its golden run in 2019.
“And the big thing is they’re enjoying it. It’s great, they love playing alongside other," Power said.
Power added numbers are growing each week, with his under 18s side up to 18 girls and the Vipers under 15s boasting a squad of 16.
It's promising signs for the fledging club after the Vipers top grade outfit was forced to withdraw from the second WWRL season due to a lack of players.
"The girls are coming all the time," he said, predicting the competition will grow each season.
“I think it’s probably a five-year thing to get it up and running really well, but the word is getting around. I think next year will be bigger again."
He said the girls are relishing the contact side of rugby league, with a host of the team previously playing league tag.
“They love it. Obviously there’s a bit of technique they need to develop, some have played last year in the Group 10 stuff but most of them are new," he said.
While the Goannas are the Vipers' immediate focus on Saturday at Kennard Park, Power said the lure of playing in the WWRL under 18s grand final at Carrington Park in the lead-up to the March 30 NRL game between Penrith and the Melbourne Storm was a huge carrot for the under 18s.
The opens and under 15s grand finals will be played on March 23.
In other round four games last weekend, Mudgee knocked off Castlereagh 44-22 and the Panorama girls forfeited to the Goannas.
In opens, the Goannas thumped Panorama 68-4 and Mudgee won 40-8 against Castlereagh.
In the under 15s, the ladder-leading Woodbridge Cup girls maintained the rage with a 52-4 win over the Vipers, the Goannas and Panorama played out a thrilling 24-all draw and Castlereagh beat Mudgee 36-10.
