If the 2019 edition of the annual, pre-season tournament is anything to go by that support isn't just present it's growing at a rapid rate.
Sides from all across the state converged on Sir Neville Howse Stadium in Orange for the event, won for a second straight year by the NSW under 19s side.
The quality of the tournament is widely regarded as exceptional, and Netball Australia hall of famer Jill McIntosh and current GWS Giants Suncorp Super Netball coach Julie Fitzgerald were both in Orange to watch the 15 teams in action.
Fitzgerald went as far as to say the country was an untapped resource for netball in NSW and tournament's like the HeartKids Cup were vital in helping both expose regional netballers to high level competition and develop their games.
Aplin was again thrilled following another successful weekend of netball.
"It was a fantastic, most of the games were close across all divisions over both days. Really pleased with the outcome," she beamed.
Orange guns Annie Miller and Alex Emerson squared off in the final in opposing NSW sides, a highlight for Aplin.
"That was the best part about it," she laughed.
"It's awesome for those girls and both out on the court together, it's special and I'm so proud of them both."
(The tournament has) cemented itself now as a good preseason competition and it's something well keep putting on as long as others are keen to be part of it.

Aplin started the HeartKids Cup eight years ago as a means to raise awareness for the HeartKids foundation, one that supports people impacted by congenital heart disease - the largest cause of infant death in Australia.
Aplin's son Carter is part of the HeartKids family and has undergone multiple heart surgeries.
"(The tournament has) cemented itself now as a good preseason competition and it's something well keep putting on as long as others are keen to be part of it," Aplin added.
