Brock Andrews, 27, of Booth Crescent, was arrested after he was removed from the Royal Hotel by security on October 14 but instead of taking him to Orange Police Station two police officers took him home and were about to un-cuff and release him when he committed the offences.
According to police, Andrews was alleged to have been involved in a fight at the hotel about 1.05am and was removed by hotel security who called police.
Police said Andrews removed his shirt at the scene and was yelling at another man who was involved in the fight so to prevent further offences taking place he was arrested, handcuffed and placed into the back of a caged vehicle and taken home.

However, when police removed him from the vehicle outside his home he began yelling at them about his missing shirt and pulled away from the police officers.
Police told him to calm down but instead he began to thrash about and was pushed onto a retaining wall garden bed where he was pinned by the two officers.
According to police he tried to bite one of the officers and her thumb was injured in the struggle before more police arrived and he was taken to the police station.
Solicitor Justine Ringbauer said Andrews drank about 12 to 18 stubbies of beer at a baby shower over several hours before continuing the celebrations at the Royal Hotel.
She said it was “extremely out of character” he was remorseful, was undergoing counselling from a church officer and had no previous matters on his record.
Magistrate David Day sentenced Andrews in Orange Local Court on Monday and gave him an 18-month supervised community correction order for resisting police.
He also gave him a two-year supervised community correction order for the assault and said if Andrews had any previous convictions for violence he would have gone to jail.
