That is what will take place in Tuesday’s Kate Smith Memorial Gold Cup as Justin and Ashleigh Stanley try to snare the honours in the feature of the Gilgandra Jockey Club’s meeting.
Bathurst-born Justin, who now trains at Narromine, has entered 10-year-old Wollartant in the 1,550 metres Benchmark 58 race.
He will be looking for the Volitant x Creative Chimes gelding to go one better than his second placing at Dubbo on December 10.
Wollartant has had two prior starts at the Gilgandra track, the most recent of which was a third placing in the 2017 cup.
His sister, Bathurst jockey Ashleigh Stanley, will saddle up on Trust Me Bill for Gilgandra trainer Leo Harland.
The 19-year-old apprentice will be chasing the eighth win of her career aboard the gelding she has already ridden to three thirds and a pair of seconds.
The $14,000 feature jumps at 4.56pm.
