On Boxing Day, the cooling waters of Lake Canobolas were as popular as ever, while the shady trees of Cook Park also had no shortage of visitors.
On Thursday, there were plenty of youngsters taking the plunge into one of the pools at Orange Aquatic Centre.
According to the seven-day forecast at www.weatherzone.com.au, Orange – along with most of the state – can expect a prolonged period of heat.
The maximum temperature in Orange is not forecast to fall below 30 degrees in the next week, with similar conditions tipped for the start of 2019 as well.
