Mr Wright has registered a design for a magnetic funnel, designed to attach to the bottom of steel internal combustion engines.
The funnel also catches the cover and filters debris.
Mr Wright said previously, a person trying to do an oil change would have needed to hold a funnel in place to get the oil into a can.
“I did a test run with a friend and it took 15 minutes,” he said.
The funnel is not Mr Wright’s first invention – in 2003, he and his father invented the Augermate, which lifts and manoeuvres grain conveyors.
He hoped to put his funnel in production and asked for sponsorship by clicking here.
