It is a disgusting waste of ratepayers money to have a councillor – at this late stage – submit a rescission motion regarding the location of this new toilet.

How long do we have to wait for this to be built? A question that I find impossible to answer.
Just get on with it, and build the thing.
It will be a very good asset for Orange and will no doubt be carefully landscaped to blend in with the surrounds.
It has to be built somewhere, as we desperately need this facility for visitors and locals alike, and it needs to be near Summer Street.
We can only envy Bathurst with a toilet at both the eastern and western entrance to their city, as well as one in the park next to the courthouse.
The amount of debate that has been held over several years that culminated in the decision to build this toilet has been considerable, and one has to question if the councillor that submitted the rescission motion has been attending meetings.
And if so, were they paying attention. After all – he or she is paid an allowance by the ratepayers.
Any objectors to this proposal have had plenty of time to submit their objections, however it has to be built somewhere, as we desperately need this facility for visitors and locals alike, and it needs to be near Summer Street.
Just get on with it.
