A potential increase in capacity could be slated for the 2019 games if the demand is there for it and the resources and volunteers can be found, while Lyne said the committee was already bandying about ideas for mystery events.
One of this year’s mystery events – the orienteering maze put together by the Goldseekers Orienteering Club – was Lyne’s favourite event for the year, and he said there was a chance it would make the cut to be a regular event from 2019 onwards.
“It was something we’ve never done before and it was great,” he said.

“It went fantastically, we’ve had a really, really good response, especially from new participants,” Lyne said.
The committee will meet closer to Christmas to begin debriefing and commence planning for 2019 once feedback forms return.
