The three-day ride, which runs from Friday until Sunday, involved about 100 riders taking to the roads around Orange, covering over 300km over the three days to raise money to fight cancer.
Friday’s rides included White Rocks, Dunkeld and Blayney, while Saturday’s ride is set to travel around Lake Canobolas before heading up the mountain, finishing at the summit, while Sunday will send riders through Forrest Reef and Spring Hill.
Event co-ordinator Phil Tudor said the community and local businesses had given huge support to the ride.
He said it was a tough day to start the challenge but said it was a fantastic atmosphere and a a great effort to pass their goal already.
“It’s enormous, that’s why there’s a buzz, the vibe’s unreal and we’re all middle aged and we do it for exercise and different reasons but it’s a great effort by everyone,” Mr Tudor said.
“We’re all like-minded which is great, the thing about cancer is that we’re all riding for different reasons and everyone’s been touched by it and when it gets tough it’s for them.
“Even though it’s fun and we go out and have a beer it’s still to raise money.”
Mr Tudor wanted to thank all the businesses that had jumped on-board and the support crew which helped the riders through the days.
