The SES received a call-out along Cargo Road at about 5am, where a tree was blocking both lanes of traffic, and another along Vittoria Road along the Mitchell Highway towards Bathurst.
Two trees also lost significant branches in the city itself, one on a property between The Escort Way and Cargo Road and one property along Phillips Street.
Neither properties were damaged.
Orange was lashed with wind gusts of up to 50 kilometres per hour on Wednesday and Thursday.
Thirteen millimetres of rain fell in the early hours on Thursday morning, with 33mm recorded across the 24 hours leading up to 9am on Thursday.
