The lassos were out on Monday at the Eight Day Games but while stationary targets were captured, none of the competitors were able to rein in leaders Anthony Wharton and Nicole Williamson on Monday’s competition.

Lassoing was the mystery event on day three, with Jess Marsh, Teegan Langthorne and Bec Ford performing well in the Queen’s section, while Len Punch, Darren Rudd and Shane Howarth proved most adept in the King’s.
Williamson returned to form in the 3.5km cross-country run, with Ford and Cathy Johnson behind her, while Jackson Leckie, Jake BLimka and Wharton finished first through to third after the run.
Williamson has a total score of 205 points, with her lead over Ford just seven points, while Amanda Livingstone is in third on 193.
Wharton (245) is nine points ahead of Leckie (234), while Andrew Marsh is 11 points behind his second-placed rival with 223.
Tuesday’s event will see competitors show off their driving and putting at Wentworth Golf Club before an individual mystery event from 5.00pm and a teams mystery event from 7.00pm.
