Stannies took down James Sheahan in the first clash of the gala day’s year seven to nine, Twenty20 fixtures, before facing Red Bend in the decider after the Forbes school knocked off St Matthew’s Mudgee to progress.
The Bathurst school reigned supreme to win through to the fourth round, where they’ll face the Riverina’s champion, a clash expected to take place later this year.
Red Bend did progress in the open-age Downie Trophy. They beat St John’s Dubbo in the final, the latter school defeated James Sheahan in the first round.
