Those who are against it need to look at towns that have low-cost camps, and talk to the businesses in those towns and see the benefits grey nomads bring.
Cohuna in Victoria has a free camp with about 25 grey nomads most nights (there is a caravan park in the town but most nomads stay at the free camp).
If you want grey nomads in Orange get behind the free or low-cost camp and get some of the billions of dollars spent by them.
I was told by the information centre manager each grey nomad caravan or motorhome is worth $100 to the town.
Most towns which have free camps see the number of visitors growing rapidly and the benefits from the nomads as they buy fuel, food and other items.
