For those who are craving a bit of elbow grease and engine noise, West Orange Motors is hosting its second Big Boy’s Toys fundraiser on Thursday evening.
V8 Supercars driver Tim Slade is hoping to attend for a casual chat about cars and life on the circuit, alongside the No.14 car, a Freightliner Transporter and three Ford XC Cobras.
It was a huge success last year and people were bringing out whatever they had.

From 5pm, people will be encouraged to bring their wheels – be it a truck, car or bike – along to West Orange Motors for a chinwag and a barbecue, which will be raising money for Give Me 5 For Kids.
West Orange Motors sales manager Wayne Swadling was expecting 50-100 “toys” to come out based on the success of the inaugural event last year.
“It was a huge success last year and people were bringing out whatever they had,” he said.
“It’s a good, happy, family atmosphere. It’s a big week with the car races on as well.”
He said the event raised several thousand dollars last year and he was hoping to emulate that this year.
Big Boys Toys kicks off from 5pm at West Orange Motors on Thursday and people are invited to bring along motorbikes, cars and trucks for display.
