Girl power prevailed when year 12 students danced off in James Sheahan Catholic High School’s annual battle of the sexes on Friday.
With a mashup of pop hits from across the decades, the girls proved too talented for their sure-footed competition.
Staff member Amanda Mooney said both groups were amazing, but the girls had it by a whisker.
Year 11 emerged as the most talented dancers with a Lion King tribute which saw a real life Simba unveiled.
New dad and teacher Winston West went the extra mile by bringing baby Hugo along to play the future king of pride rock.
The annual dance off took place as part of Sheahan Day, with a dress up parade, barbecue and a staff versus student tug-o-war among the day’s activities which made it a highlight on the school calendar.
Year 7 Darcey Eyb was awarded best dressed on the day for her green fairy costume.
