As each fan entered Endeavour Oval for the Blowes Clothing Cup, where the Emus triumphed over the Bathurst Bulldogs 30-18, volunteers stopped them asking for donations.
Emus member Doug Pigot said Angullong Wines donated three bottles of wine for the club to raffle and the club raised $1403 for the drought cause and once tickets sold out people continued to donate.
On Wednesday the donation was handed to the Rotary Club of North Orange who will give the money to Rotary Australia World Community Service, which is working with the NSW Farmers Association to organise the distribution of funds.
Rotarian Peter Darley said Rotary has no overheads so 100 per cent of the money raised would go to farmers and will be transformed into vouchers, to be given to farming families in drought affected areas.
