Dancers bow out, musicians tap in to take centre stage at eisteddfod | Photos

While barely enough time to take a breath after a huge fortnight of dance, City of Orange Eisteddfod convenor Margaret Williams has stepped up to make sure this week’s vocal and instrumental section runs smoothly.

Following Sunday’s opening, talented young pianists from Orange, Bathurst, Millthorpe and Canowindra will demonstrate their skills when they share the Orange Regional Conservatorium with vocalists on Tuesday, before it becomes all about the singers for the rest of the week.

Tuesday morning’s 12 year olds and under ‘character song’ will see costumes come out, before the more senior singers take the stage on Tuesday evening.

Miss Williams said to the school choirs on at the Orange Function Centre on Thursday and Friday “relax and enjoy yourself.”
