And they’ll enjoy the home-ground advantage when it matters most.
John Lomas Skate Park will play host to both a heat on October 10 and the final in early 2019 of the newly-created regional championships, which are being run by the NSW Office of Sport, the Australian Skateboarding Federation and Bluntside Sk8 Park Tours.
Skateboarding will be the headline event, with organisers hoping to draw enough entries to warrant scooter and BMX divisions as well.
Competitors will be split into four divisions: under 12s mixed, under 16s mixed, women's and opens, with registration to cost $5.
Heats will be held at nine Central West locations between September and December, before the final in Orange on January 20 next year, where the regional champions will be not only be crowned, but win passage through to the state titles.
