Red Love in Orange is a joint initiative between the health service and the Orange Australasian Cultural Group to encourage blood donations during winter.
The group has a target of saving 600 lives between June and October.
Rehabilitation medical director Dr Sumitha Gounden organised the initiative and is a regular donor herself.
“The need for blood never stops, and patients fighting cancer, infections and blood diseases are relying on donated blood to keep them healthy throughout winter,” she said.
To donate, call 13 14 95 or visit www.donateblood.com.au, where you can also register as part of Red Love in Orange.
