According to www.weatherzone.com.au, snow will fall down to about 600 metres above sea level in parts of NSW, with Orange predicted to be among the areas to get a decent coating in the next four days.
According to weatherzone's Ben Domensino, the coldest air will arrive on Saturday and Sunday, when snow will settle in Orange and other parts of the Central West.
Some places in NSW are forecast to experience their lowest maximum temperature in two or more years this weekend, including Sydney (14 degrees Celcius), Canberra (7 degrees), Bathurst (6 degrees) and Goulburn (6 degrees).
Sunday is forecast to be Orange's coldest day, with the mercury dipping to -1 degree overnight and climbing only as far as 4 degrees through the day.
