Pedestrians can often feel like second class citizens, and the walkway in the Woolworths car park can be especially hazardous.
Although they have right of way, pedestrians have to keep a sharp eye out for cars, whose drivers sometimes seem to forget they exist.
On Thursday an irate pedestrian attracted attention when he hurled abuse at a car that turned in front of him.
The pedestrian yelled at the driver that it was a walkway and at that point many people would have sympathised with his annoyance.
However, there were gasps from witnesses when he then kicked the car, resulting in the male passenger winding down his window and returning the abuse.
