Dance studios travelled from areas including Orange, Bathurst and Forbes to compete in the group sections, adjudicated by David Mack.
On Sunday morning, Urban Edge Dance Studios won first place in the hip hop and urban open, as well as the world dance section. Orana Dance Section was awarded first place in the 14 years and under contemporary and the contemporary open was taken out by Dubbo Ballet Studio.
Meanwhile, Colour City Dance was awarded first in the classical 14 years and under and Mudgee’s Dance Unlimited won the tap open.
Colour City Dance student Laura Daniel said it had been good fun dancing in the eisteddfod.
As well as competing in the group sections at the weekend, Laura said she was also dancing in the solo sections across a range of styles.
Entertainment and ballet were her favourite styles, Laura said.
Entertainment because it allowed her to use her hands to express herself and ballet because of the technical difficulty, she said.
Laura said she always travelled to Dubbo to compete in the eisteddfod.
The dance program of the Dubbo Eisteddfod will continue at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre until June 14.
