Murray George Parker, 22, of Eungella Place, pleaded guilty in Orange Local Court to mid-range PCA, driving unlicensed and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Police said officers were driving along Matthews Avenue at about 10pm on January 23 when they spotted a red Honda Accord travelling at high speed along Hill Street.
After stopping in Phillip Street, Parker told police he bought the car from his sister and had drunk two bottles of beer between 4pm and 9pm.
Solicitor John Song said his client had applied for his learner’s licence but magistrate David Day said Parker was “an untrained person in charge of a motor car”.
