Mr Sutton, a partner at Morse Group Accountants & Advisors won the Outstanding Young Employee award.
Mrs Woodhouse, a partner at Yates Baker McLean, won the Outstanding Business Leader award at a gala dinner in Bathurst on Friday night.
Mr Sutton said he was delighted to win.
“Winning this award recognises all of the hard work I’ve put in with my colleagues and peers,” he said.
“It provides a point of difference between myself and others in the industry and provides me with confidence in my future ambitions.”
He leads a team of five people, servicing clients across a wide area.
Among his achievements is developing internal training programs for staff that are now used for new employee inductions.
Mrs Woodhouse said she hadn’t expected to win.
“I was a total outsider, yes, it was a pleasant surprise,” she said.
She said she was now looking forward to entering the State business awards in November.
“This award is a tribute to the hard work of our entire team across three Central West offices and a clear example of how passionate our practice is about meeting the needs of our clients,” she said.
“I think it is fantastic for the quality of accountants in Orange.”
They were among five finalists from the Orange region nominated for the Western NSW awards.
Western NSW Business Chamber Regional Manager, Vicki Seccombe said the awards were due to the NSW Business Chamber’s strong relationship with local chambers of commerce in Orange, Bathurst, Broken Hill, Canowindra, Cowra, Coonabarabran, Coonamble, Dubbo, Forbes, Gulgong, Lithgow, Mudgee, Oberon, Parkes and Wellington.
“Through our annual awards program, the NSW Business Chamber seeks to celebrate business excellence in NSW and promote growth by enabling our finalists and winners to share their success stories and lessons learned along the way,” she said.
