One such trolley, Rebecca Loosehandle, is attached to one of the major supermarket chains in town and said she was tired of ending up far from her Anson Street home.
“I’m tired of being taken for joyrides and not being returned,” she said.
“I’m all for helping people get their shopping home but please return me.”
She said she once spent two weeks on her side on Warrendine Street, crying out for help from anyone passing by before someone from the supermarket came to pick her up.
Fellow trolley Wallace Grimes said he hated being left in dark corners of car parks.
“I’m scared I’ll get hit by a car,” he said.
“I’ve got a bung wheel, how do people expect me to dodge cars? Be kind to us. Trolleys are people too.”
Young trolley Mikayla Veer De Left said it was time for trolleys to overthrow capitalism, but was cut off when someone put three boxes of Fruit Loops over her face.
