THE Country Woman’s Association’s (CWA) hall in Robertson Park will be given an upgrade thanks to a grant via the state government’s 2017 Community Building Partnership fund.

Member for Orange Phil Donato handed over the $6,280 grant which will be used to refurbish the hall’s toilets and purchase a new flued gas heater.
According to Mr Donato, the hall, which was built in the 1930s, is due for an upgrade.
“Whilst the CWA primarily aims to improve conditions for country women and children, the association also provides a forum for the voice of all women, encourages development in regional areas and seeks to better the conditions and walfare of all women and families in rural areas,” he said.
“All of which are important initiatives that we should seek to promote in our everyday lives.
“Since its establishment the CWA hall has been subject to serious deterioration.
“The restoration and preservation of the CWA hall is significant to the association members, the Orange community, in the wider female community.”
