Deidre and Norm have been major sponsors of the annual Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival, providing significant prize money for the poetry competition.
Their assistance has helped to attract top-class bush poets to Orange and to encourage local poets to compete and provide great entertainment to the community.
Deidre is a Patron of the Orange Male Voice Choir in recognition of her support over many years.
With this support, the choir has been able to travel and take entertainment and enjoyment to audiences throughout the Central West and interstate.
With Deidre’s assistance, the choir acquired a new piano providing the best possible accompaniment to the voices of Orange.
The Holy Trinity Anglican Church has also been a beneficiary of Deidre’s generosity.
The peel of bells in the bell tower is used every week by an enthusiastic group of bellringers, thanks to Deidre’s support.
Deidre was a modest person, not seeking recognition for her community contribution, but giving freely to events and organisations that provide benefit to a wide range of people.
We pass on our condolences to Norm and all of her loved ones and remember Deidre as a valued member of the Orange community.
Sincerely,
