The beauty pageant of sorts is as much about the personality of the men competing as their ordinariness.
Mr Harton underwent a catwalk, a show and tell, a talent show – where he read some impressive bush poetry – and dressed as a fallen angel.
“I had a picture of Shane Warne’s signature dance on my wings, which was very last minute but an absolute hit.”
He was unable to bring home the prize, however, not placing in the top three.
The event was hosted by the founders of the Beetota Advocate satire site and organised by Budgy Smuggler, and Mr Harton said they were in “really good form … taking the piss out of us”.
He also had to describe himself as a pizza – with “a tough exterior layer and a crusty base, and then I talked about my nipples as the salami and the beard as stringy cheese … it was interesting”.
