Shane Andrew Agland, 45, of Jindalee Avenue, was initially stopped by police at 1.30am on September 20 in Park Street and was given the benefit of the doubt by police after he told them he thought the suspension had been lifted.
He was told his licence was still suspended and he was prohibited from driving but despite the correction, police again stopped him while he was driving at 2.09am in Byng Street and he was charged.
He was fined $500 and given an automatic disqualification in Orange Local Court on Monday for the offence.
