However, at least one carload of joy riders has taken it to the next level by capitalising on the recently released, supernatural horror film It, which was re-adapted from a 1990 film by the same name and based off Stephen King’s novel It.
While carrying out the usual routine of driving up and down Summer Street and being stopped at the various traffic lights on Wednesday night, a passenger attempted to scare pedestrians.
Dressed as Pennywise the Dancing Clown from the movie, the passenger leaned out the open windows and screamed at passing pedestrians.
Whether they managed to scare anyone is yet to be seen.
There couldn’t have been too many pedestrians out that time on a weekday, particularly on a cold, wet night.
Surely the chance of pedestrians with a clown phobia, also known as coulrophobia, had to be slim?
