The forum will be held in the supper room of the Mullion Creek Hall from 6.30pm.
Incumbent councillor Anthony Durkin and candidate Jamie Jones are confirmed to attend.
Cr Durkin said many eastern Cabonne residents were unaware they had to vote on Saturday.
“We used to have [former councillors] Janelle [Culverson] and Sharon [Wilcox] from the Mullion Creek area and they also represented Lewis Ponds and that’s sort of gone by the wayside,” he said.
“The strength of the candidates is coming from Molong and Canowindra.”
With several eastern Cabonne ratepayers concerned about the size of rural rates, which are well in excess of Orange’s, Cr Durkin said the formula should be reviewed and assessed against value for money.
Mr Jones said waste levies should be revised because rural ratepayers paid them, did not receive a bin collection, yet still had to pay when they took their waste to the tip.
“I agree with them and I don’t think that’s fair,” he said.
At the age of 29, Mr Jones said he wanted to stand to represent young families on the council.
Ms Culverson said all candidates and residents were welcome to attend.
