The salon triumphed against 11 finalists to take out the award, which had thousands of entries from across Australia.
The salon also took out the Cherry Blooms Stockist of the Year title at the PBS gala dinner held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre last Saturday.
Delighted owner Lisa Fowler paid tribute to both her staff and her customers.
“I feel so proud of my team. They have worked so hard and they are all so passionate about what they do,” she said.
“Thanks to our clients for all your support and for your loyalty. You make our business what it is.”
IT’S CHEERS TO BOREE LANE
Sydney’s Bob Clark is preparing to open the Boree Lane cellar door at the end of September.
Mr Clark’s vineyard has supplied larger wineries for the last 18 years but he’s made the switch to create a private label.
“It’s not a family dynasty, it’s Boree Lane,” Mr Clark said.
“I’m not expecting the children to take over.”
The new cellar door has been opened in the former guest house, and Mr Clark said it would be a part of the Boree Lane ramble during the Orange Wine Festival.
BARBIE DOLLS FIND A NEW HOME
Linda Wadey has turned a problem into a business.
She got into buying and selling Barbie dolls and accessories after she couldn’t find the right Barbie for her great niece.
She started an online business 18 months ago and after running pop-up shops in Millthorpe, she opened a shop in Victoria Street this week.
Mrs Wadey said her collection included the first Barbies from 1959 to modern-day dolls and all could be valued by collectors.
“When Barbie came out she had a vacuum cleaner, now she’s president and an astronaut,” she said.
“She’s no longer tall, white and blonde, she comes in all shapes and sizes.”
