Located on the former bowling green at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club, The Greenhouse of Orange opened last week, was booked out on Friday and Saturday and was also at capacity for breakfast on Sunday.
The $6.5million dining venue has led to the employment of an extra 50 staff and as a result the Orange Ex-Services’ Club payroll has swelled to at least 250 people.
The food precinct includes an la carte dining area and kid’s pavilion, which were fully booked on Friday night, as well as street food, a wine bar offering charcuterie and a pizza bar.
The greenhouse concept is to appeal to a different demographic of residents while the club continues with its traditional offerings.
