Organiser Rachael Brooking is hoping more than 1672 redheads – the current world record - will gather at Wade Park at 1pm on September 30 for the attempt.
Mrs Brooking said the event would raise money to support NSW families of people living with Huntington’s Disease, which claimed her mother Frances Kelly.
On the day of the record attempt there will be a range of activities, including a jumping castle and face painting, a red-beard competition for all men with red beards, live music and food and drinks.
