This is a family-owned business that has been operating for over 54 years. We employee a total of 24 staff.
It’s very disappointing to constantly read comments by local residents who whinge and whine regarding the state of the caravan parks in Orange who themselves have never visited or stayed in the park.
I just wanted to give you a heads up as to what we have done over the last two years with no council funding or help in any way:
- Planted over $2000 worth of trees and shrubs as a wind block and privacy from the motel next door. This was done six months ago.
- Spent over $65,000 on improving caravan sites, including leveling and drainage for sites. This was done 12 months ago.
- Spent $80,000 on total refurbishment of our amenities. This was done two years ago.
- Spent $20,000 on putting in a camp kitchen, two covered barbecue areas with new aluminum tables. Our barbecues are free for all our guests to use.
- Upgraded the hot-water service to have instant and unlimited hot water in our shower blocks. This was done two years ago.
- We are currently in the process of putting six new ensuite cabins in the park. This process will be completed in three months.
It’s so disappointing to see people comment on the Central Western Daily’s Facebook page that they tell people not to stay in the Orange caravan parks but recommend Wellington and Dubbo.
Thank you for telling people not to stay and spend money in Orange: that’s really great for our local economy.
Here is a list of all the trade people we use and have used for all our work. They are all from Orange, have families to support and spend locally: Coleman Earthmoving, McHomes, JMR Portable Homes, Dennis Bowers Electrical, Midstate Metals Plumbing and Alan Kelly and Chris Wilcox’s Tiling.
These are just to name a few of the great locals we use to try our hardest to improve our park.
Regards,
