A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy have been charged with taking and driving a car without the owner’s consent, dishonestly obtaining property by deception leading police on a pursuit.
Police say the teens took a silver Kia Rio without the owner’s permission and proceeded to fill the vehicle with fuel without making any attempts to pay.
Police claim the pair engaged them in a pursuit on the Golden Highway near Denman – approximately 300 kilometres north of Orange – when they failed to stop for police.
They were later arrested and issued with court attendance notices.
They will appear before Orange Children’s Court on August, 21.
