Public relations director Clivia Frieden said 97 stallholders took part.
“The response has been great from the public and the stallholders and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer day,” she said.
Entry to the market at the netball courts was via gold coin donation, with proceeds to go to Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children ROMAC.
“Last time, we had over 23 kilograms of coins to count, hence why we have no clue yet [how much we’ve raised],” Ms Frieden said.
ROMAC brings about 50 children from developing countries to Australia annually for surgery.
